Our experience has shown that active portfolio management is critical to creating value for stakeholders including the countries we operate in and the communities served by our investee companies. We will do this by working collaboratively with our investee companies to help:


• Create demand by leveraging their home base, export solutions to other similar

• Markets, create new customer relationships etc

• Identify enablers to achieve scale

• Build teams and strengthen their organisations and operations

• Raise funds, including via co-investments and introductions to our network of

DFIs and global investors

By backing scalable climate solutions, over the first Fund’s life, we seek to achieve a reduction of an estimated 11mn t CO2 of emissions and impact 10 mn + lives. We will apply, and require our investees to adhere to, global best practices in measuring and reporting on these metrics.

Companies that have achieved commercial success in their home markets with the potential to expand into other similar markets. By leveraging our experience and global network, we help our investee companies expand in their home markets as well as to other emerging markets which encounter similar challenges.

Asset-efficient businesses poised for growth


Companies that have a viable solution but are at an inflection point and need strategic capital and support to grow. The IEA estimates 45% of emission reduction by 2050 will come from developed technologies that are yet to scale. We expect to help such companies with our core expertise of helping build and grow businesses.
